The Isles of Scilly Family History Group is another feature that has been added to the museum where the social history of the island is helpful for those researching their family. While the Group does not actually do the research it will direct you to the information available to them. It also maintains a data base of family trees held in the museum.
Other night time activities are different from week to week and you will find lots of notices and posters around town. You may find anything from boat racing and trips to theater performances, variety show entertainer, bird watching trips, bingo, slide shows of Siclly through the years and ship wreaks in the area, Choral Society performances, visiting theatre companies including opera and live music and discos.
